What is MyPhotoAI and how does it work?

MyPhotoAI is an AI headshot studio. You upload 5 to 15 reference photos of yourself, our AI learns what you look like, then it generates studio-quality portraits in dozens of styles within the hour. Generation is free; you only pay when you want to download the watermark-free, high-resolution versions.

How many reference photos do I need to upload?

Five is the minimum, ten is the sweet spot, and fifteen is the maximum we use. Variety matters more than count: mix front-facing and angled shots, indoor and outdoor lighting, and different facial expressions. Avoid sunglasses, hats, group photos, and heavy filters.

If you only have five strong photos, that is plenty. Adding ten weak photos on top of five strong ones can actually make the result worse. Quality beats quantity.

What kinds of reference photos work best?

Recent photos taken on a phone, where your face fills at least a third of the frame, in good natural light. Include a mix of expressions and angles so the AI can learn your full face. Skip duplicates, heavy makeup that does not look like everyday you, and photos with multiple people.

How long does it take to get my generated photos?

Your first photos appear in the gallery about 15 to 20 minutes after upload, and the full set of 5 takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The AI spends the first stretch learning your face, then photos arrive one by one. You can leave the tab open or come back later; we will email you when the gallery is ready.

Can I use MyPhotoAI on my phone?

Yes. The web app works in any modern mobile browser. We also have native iOS and Android apps in the App Store and Play Store. All three share the same account, so a batch you start on mobile shows up on the web and vice versa.

My training failed

Recover from errors and stuck batches.

I got a "no valid looks selected" error. What does that mean?

Our backend received your photo batch but could not match any of the styles you picked to a valid prompt. This usually means an out-of-date app, or a wizard glitch where look selections did not persist. Pull to refresh, pick at least one style, and try again. If the error repeats, email support and we will fix it within 24 hours.

My session says references expired. Can I recover them?

Reference photos are kept for 24 hours after upload, then deleted for privacy. If you started a batch and waited longer than a day to finish it, the references are gone. Start a fresh batch and upload again. We are working on a way to reuse references from your last successful batch instead.

My training is stuck on "processing". What should I do?

Most sessions finish within 45 minutes, and a busy queue or a requeue can add more time. If yours is past 90 minutes, it is genuinely stuck. Close and reopen the app to refresh the status; if it still shows processing, email support@myphotoai.io with your batch ID (visible in the URL or the email receipt) and we will manually clear it.

My generated photos do not look like me. Why?

The two biggest causes are too few reference photos and reference photos that all look the same (same angle, same expression). Upload 10 to 15 varied photos, ideally taken on different days, and the resemblance jumps. Heavy makeup, sunglasses, or hats in references also throw the model off.

How many photo sessions can I run on my account?

Two photo sessions per account by default. Each session generates 5 photos, for a lifetime cap of 10. After your first session, unlocking any paid tier ($15 or higher) unlocks the second session. To go beyond two sessions, the Ultra Pack ($99) unlocks all your current photos and grants one more 5-photo session each time.

Is MyPhotoAI a subscription or a one-time purchase?

One-time only. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no auto-renewals. You pick a photo pack (Starter, Pro, or Premium), pay once, and own those photos forever with full commercial rights.

What is the difference between Starter and Pro?

Starter unlocks 5 photos for $15. Pro unlocks 20 photos for $35 (cheapest per-photo). Premium unlocks 50 photos for $65 (best value if you want options). All tiers include the same commercial-use license, full HD resolution, and the Brand Kit with platform-ready crops.

What is your refund policy?

If you are not happy with your generated photos, email support@myphotoai.io within 7 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund. We process refunds within 2 business days via the original payment method. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion but we still try to help.

How do I use a coupon code?

Coupon codes apply on the checkout page. Click the coupon-code field below the price, paste your code, and the discount shows up before you confirm payment. If a code does not work, double-check spelling (codes are case-sensitive) or contact support.

My payment failed. What now?

Payments are processed by Stripe; failures usually mean your card was declined by the issuing bank. Try a different card, or contact your bank to authorize the charge. Your photo pack is reserved for 15 minutes, so finishing the payment soon after the failure picks up where you left off.

Where do I find my finished photos?

Generated photos appear in your gallery as soon as they are ready. Sign in to myphotoai.io and click Gallery, or open the mobile app and tap the Gallery tab. Unlocked, watermark-free photos download as a zip from the gallery toolbar. We also send a receipt email with a direct gallery link.

Can I use my generated photos commercially?

Yes. Every unlocked photo includes a full commercial-use license with zero attribution required. Use them on LinkedIn, your resume, your website, marketing materials, your dating profile, anywhere. The license is yours forever, even if you cancel your account later.

What resolution and file formats do I get?

Unlocked photos are full HD in 3:4 portrait aspect ratio, delivered as JPEGs in your gallery zip. The Brand Kit zip adds platform-specific crops: LinkedIn profile, LinkedIn banner, Instagram square, dating-app portrait, email signature, and Zoom virtual background.

How do I remove the watermark from my photos?

Unlock the photo to get the watermark-free version. The watermarked preview is intentional; it lets you see all generated photos for free and only pay for the ones you love. Unlocking is one-tap from any photo in your gallery.

Can I regenerate or get more photos with the same uploads?

Yes. From your gallery, tap the regenerate button on the batch and pick new styles. We reuse your already-uploaded reference photos (within the 24-hour window) so you skip re-uploading. Each regeneration counts toward your daily batch limit.

Account and privacy

Storage, retention, deletion, and abuse reports.

Where are my photos stored and who can see them?

Photos are stored on our own servers in encrypted form. Only you can see them when signed in to your account. We do not train public AI models on your photos, sell them, share them with advertisers, or use them anywhere outside your gallery.

How long do you keep my reference photos?

Reference photos are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload. Generated photos stay in your gallery until you delete them or close your account. You can delete any photo from the gallery at any time.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@myphotoai.io from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We process the deletion within 48 hours, which removes your gallery, your reference photos, and any cached AI model trained on your face. You receive an email confirmation when it is done.

Can I export all my data?

Yes. Email support@myphotoai.io and we send you a zip of your generated photos, reference photos still within the retention window, your purchase history, and any account metadata. Most exports complete within 24 hours.

How do I report misuse or impersonation?

If you find someone using MyPhotoAI to impersonate you, generate photos without your consent, or harass you, email support@myphotoai.io with as much detail as you can include (URLs, screenshots, account names). We treat impersonation reports as our top priority and respond within 24 hours.

Why am I being asked to verify my email at checkout?

We send a 6-digit code to your email and ask you to enter it once before your first paid checkout. This makes sure receipts, order updates, and account recovery emails actually reach you. If you signed in with Google, you skip this step because Google has already verified your address.

The code expires after 10 minutes. If you do not see it, check your spam folder or request a new one. Codes can only be used once.

I signed up with the wrong email. Can I change it?

Yes. When the verification step opens at checkout, tap "Change" next to the email shown and type the correct address. We send the code to the new address; once you enter the code, that email becomes the verified email on your account and is used for all future receipts.

We cannot change your email to one that already belongs to another account. If that happens, sign in to that existing account instead, or contact support@myphotoai.io and we can help merge.

How do I reset my password?

From the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and type the email on your account. We send a 6-digit code to that address. Open the reset page from the email (or stay on the reset page already open), enter the code, then pick a new password. Codes expire in 10 minutes.

If you signed up with Google, you do not have a password to reset; just sign in with Google.
